Raise your frequency and be happier: 10 easy tips

I have mentioned in my posts several times the term vibration and how important it is in terms of living the life that you want to live, to raise your vibration.

We know nowadays with modern science that the Universe and every single component in the Universe is energy, therefore, as beings in this Universe, we are energy too.

According to the law of conservation of energy : energy can neither be created nor destroyed; rather, it can only be transformed or transferred from one form to another but, certainly, is always alive, in motion…there is a non stop vibration.

What is vibration explained in a simple way?

The principle of vibration is one of the Laws of the universe. Everything moves and nothing rests. From a scientific perspective Vibration is a mechanical phenomenon whereby oscillations occur about an equilibrium point.

From a spiritual perspective is a person’s emotional state, the atmosphere of a place, the associations of an object, as communicated to and felt by others and is better defined as Vibrational energy which comprises emotions and thought patterns, such as joy, peace, and acceptance which are high frequency vibrations, while other feelings and mindsets (such as anger, despair, and fear) vibrate at a lower rate.

I’m going to give you some suggestions as to how you can raise your vibration and they have been experienced by myself so I can guarantee you it works! But first let’s clarify what our emotions are and how they work.

What are emotions and how do they work?

Our emotions are a biochemical feedback system created to reflect to us at all moments of the day what our vibration is. When we are in a low frequency we are in a decreased state of consciousness, our perception is limited. When we are in a high frequency we are in an increased state of consciousness and our perception is heightened.

The lower our vibrational frequency, the less we are able to comprehend because our ego is restricting the flow of life and source energy.

We could think of vibration in terms of negative and positive, there are a billion different frequencies within that range but what’s most important when you’re thinking about increasing your vibration is that you distinguish between what a negative vibration is and what a positive vibration is and the way you’re going to know that is how you feel.

If you feel an emotion which does not feel good that is a low vibration if you’re in an emotion which feels good that is your biochemical indication that you are in a high vibration.

Sounds pretty easy and straightforward to me, right?

So increasing your vibration is about causing yourself to feel positive emotion, your emotions reflect your thoughts and thoughts are a vibration so we want to think about what thoughts we’re thinking that cause us to feel good or cause us to feel not so good and the best trick is to choose thoughts which cause you to feel emotionally good. 

Now let’s look at 10 tips we can implement right now to help us raise our frequency and hold that high level of vibration to live a happier life and get us closer to find our purpose in this lifetime.

1 – Sit in silence and be the observer

If you are currently focused on negative thoughts one of the best things to do is to meditate but, if you struggle with that, just sit in silence, close your eyes and focus on your breath, when we’re meditating or listening to the silence we’re stopping thought and therefore breaking the negative flow.

Another technique you can add to this and once you’ve stopped negative thought, it’s becoming an observer. Imagine a clone of yourself coming out of your body, literally like a ghost and put your focus on him, become him, now look at you (sitting in the coach) and visualise those negative thoughts tormenting your head – we need a bit of imagination here – just use whatever you find easier to relate to whatever your thoughts are: can be black smoke, little heads talking, cockroaches, birds, zombies… you choose. 

This is about observing them from afar removing yourself from them and it becomes a mere movie you are watching, you are not judging if they are good or bad at all, just observing them without judgement and not letting them get you. Now they are not yours anymore, in fact, when you go back to your body you can tell them: please leave, I don’t want you here anymore, you’re giving me a headache.

2. Listen to music or guided meditations

Music is one of the most amazing vibrational tools we have because it crosses all boundaries and the ego does not resist the high frequency of music, so when you use music you’re causing your own vibration to synchronise with the frequency of the music you’re listening to. You need to be really honest about what music or voices make you feel good and spend some time listening to them.

3. Where, who, what, how… it matters too.

Everything is energy, not only people but places, objects, animals, even furniture! They all hold a certain frequency so this one is pretty straight forward: spend time near people, places and things which hold a high frequency and get rid of the opposite. 

Don’t go to that bar if you don’t feel at ease, avoid people who live in victim mode and suck your energy, get rid of objects you might be holding to and are attached to negative emotions most likely from the past.

4. Get inspired

Anything that is inspiring to you is going to raise your frequency so read books that cause you to feel good about yourself, watch movies that make you feel good and inspire you and listen to spiritual teachers or podcasters that inspire you and cause you to awaken to your own divine power. 

Say yes to the new, be open to knowledge, explore, experiment, make mistakes so you can learn and be better.

5. Move, move, move

Never said enough times, always agreed but how hard it gets, right? 

Physical movement not only causes energy to move through and oxygenate your brain, it stimulates the release of endorphins which are frequency elevating chemicals as witnessed by the way that they move you into a state of joy.

One of the biggest mistakes is forcing ourselves to do exercise we don’t enjoy, like for example, going to the gym when we really don’t like the gym, or running (because it is cool) when we don’t really like running. 

Make sure you find an activity that you really enjoy. At the end of the day, you could combine two of the points in this article by going for a walk while listening to your favourite podcaster or a guided meditation. Try it. Observe what you enjoy, learn about yourself. Once more… experiment.

6.  Aromatherapy

Just like music, aromatherapy causes you to synchronise with the frequency of whatever natural ingredients went into the aroma. This one I am trying right now and I’ll write more about soon but so far, it is so great to feel the scent of Mother Nature and make yourself relate it to positive emotion so every time you use it, your mind instantly brings about that emotion. I am using Lavender in the bedroom before going to sleep and it feels amazing.

7. Overuse Gratitude

This doesn’t necessarily have to be a journal if you have a difficult time writing but I just find that the writing process is very good at helping you to hold high frequency because of the effort it takes to put a pen to paper and focus on what you are wanting to express.

Alternatively to a blank paper that you need to fill out from scratch, you can use this Gratitude Journal that I created which has a template (see the sample filled out on the left) for each day and it’s much more effortless and requires less writing and more thinking about the questions asked. It also has an empowering different quote every day.

Also, integrate the feeling of gratitude in your everyday life and in the smallest and insignificant things so, for example, when you are driving or walking down the street try and look for things you like, for example colours. If you like green, try to hunt green in people’s clothes, cars, shops, etc. Or if you like pets, maybe you can try and find them and smile at them, I do that a lot now since having a kitten or, another thing I am practising is smiling at people when walking around, saying Good morning or Hello, regardless of the response you get which can be a smile back or total ignorance but it doesn’t matter, what matters is you are practising gratitude and focussing on positives and that is excellent for your vibration. 

This is in fact a mindfulness exercise since you’ll be focussing on something you like and, therefore, raising your vibration.

8. Water my friend

This is one I struggle with since I am not much of a water person, however, I need to mention it as you might be one of them!

Spend time in water as water holds the closest vibration to that pure source of energy, and every time you spend time in water you’re going to be resonating in a very close frequency to source itself.

This time in water could be taking a shower or a bath, the ones I practise for now, as there is an association to vibrationally cleansing us. If you are a water lover, needless to say that spending time in the sea or in a pool would be the icing on the cake for this suggestion.

9. Give, give, give

Practice random acts of kindness. Any time you are projecting and radiating love outwards

you are in a high frequency and it’s one of the best things you can do to increase your vibration indeed. It doesn’t have to be a big thing or even a material thing that you are giving, just a smile to someone could change their entire day, remember that.

10. Be Aware

Try to question everything, this will bring you to higher levels of awareness and will set you free from the illusion of fear and limiting beliefs. The more you know yourself and the more you get outside the box by being deeply introspective, the easier it becomes to permanently hold a state of blissfulness.

Things we can do to increase our vibration are literally endless but, in general, making conscious positive changes in your lifestyle, beliefs, fears and judgments will do the trick. Use your intuition more on this one because you most likely know what kinds of things you potentially have to change in your life in order to live in a high frequency.
